There are several ways you can purchase your home:

Either on your own through a “For Sale by Owner” seller (which we DO NOT recommend as it’s usually a case of the “Blind Leading the Blind”) OR by using the services of a Trusted Real Estate Advisor.

Most people do not know the following...If you go and talk to a Realtor at an Open House and decide to write an Offer to Purchase on that home...That Realtor who is working with you writing up your offer is actually an agent of the Seller!  That’s the Dirty Little Secret”...You are confiding in the Seller’s Agent while he is their “Eyes and Ears” for the sale of their home!

The way to get around the “Conflict of Interest” that exists when working with the Seller’s agent on writing your Offer to Purchase, is to use a Buyers Agent.  A Buyer’s Agent is a Realtor that is working on your behalf and looking out for your best interests! 

Not a bad idea when you’re talking about a transaction that is probably going to be one of the largest you will ever do in your lifetime!

The #1 MYTH about using Buyer’s Agents is that YOU have to pay the agent yourself out of your pocket!

This is NOT TRUE!  In roughly 99% of the transactions done by Buyer’s Agents the Seller of the home you are buying will actually PAY your Buyer’s Agent to represent YOU and look out for YOUR best interests!
